Back in June I carefully planted my garden. Every year my tomatoes go nuts, I forget to remove the suckers, and I don’t prune at all. Lunches for me typically consist of a salad. Because I mix different items into my salad each day, I never get tired of eating it. The basic components are leaf vegetables, protein, fruits and/or vegetables, and dressing. I aim for approximately 450-500 Calories (kcal) per salad. Health Check #1

As promised, here’s my first health check for my half-marathon race training. I intend to barely skate in under the 14 minutes per mile requirement for my half-marathon which is October 16, 2011. While I can run one mile in less then ten minutes, over a long distance, I cannot maintain that pace so I’m planning on just barely skating through.
